Electrical Ignition System
An IDI system is utilized. The ignition system is made up of the following components:
- Battery
- Ignition switch
- Start button
- Electronic module
- Magneto flywheel
- Trigger coil with stator
- Ignition coil
- Spark plug
Battery/Ignition Switch
The ignition switch allows the battery to supply the electronic module for the ignition system.
Start Button
The start button enables the starting system.
Magneto Flywheel/Trigger Coil
The magneto flywheel features one protrusion that works with the trigger coil. The trigger coil sends signals to the electronic module for processing in the ignition system.
General Testing/Troubleshooting Information
For specific system-related problems, refer to the proper system section. It's crucial to check battery condition, cables, connections, and related-circuit fuse condition. Always disconnect the battery when replacing any electric or electronic parts.
Ignition Coil/Spark Plug
The ignition coil receives its signal from the electronic module and steps up the input voltage, resulting in firing of the spark plug.
